Hey You Get Back On My Google Cloud. 


Hey, what is that called?  That thing that people do, and post all over the internet.. it must have a name.. you know when someone picks up a news story, and mocks someone or something and really gets the conversation going.  Getting some people riled up, and some people falling on the floor laughing... just dripping with sarcasm and tongue lashings.  

Well, I set out this week to figure out what the style of writing IS, and I found myself on an odyssey with people who are writing the latest belling selling" Techie Marketing e-books".   

It is called... (drum roll please)  "Newsjacking" .  It sounds sort of naughty, doesn't it?  Of course it conjures up visions of "carjacking".  This is "jacking" too- the idea of inserting yourself into the information highway- and manipulating the direction of the vehicle of choice- the conclusion of where the words of author may have wanted to end up, into the direction you like.    

I am right.. right?  It is naughty.  

And it is fun.  Especially when you have an audience.  I have noticed that many media pundits here at SHM have developed an edge to their NewsJacking.  These radio talking heads, these bandits of the airwaves- know exactly who they are.

I bet they whistle this tune in the shower.... Because "We can't all be Good guys"  

Cue up the  SHM villainous hive of NewsJackers with THIS TUNE  ,  and we will see them all come out to play. Because being trendy and relevant isn't just for tech nerds anymore. It is for Internet Radio jockeys too.  It is for everyone.  We are all NewsJackers. We are the Media.

  Internet Radio is where all the cool kids are hanging out now.  I'm glad to be a part of it.  I am happy to have found a use for Scottish Sarcasm.. for something that has a following, a platform and an audience.   Also, Internet Radio-   It is the power to change the direction of the Mainstream Media- and THAT is not just awesome for sarcastic, naughty people like me- it is AWESOME for the future of America.  Finally being bad- is good!  Let's turn that mainstream media upside down.
