A Few Thoughts on Election 2016

Interesting conversation with a friend tonight.

What is the Trump effect on Hillary and WikiLeaks? Did his brash and straight forward personality for MSM to report on them more? Did it force the hand of the Praetorian Guard no matter how much they were kicking and screaming?

Could anyone else have been loud and hard enough to have beat Hillary? To use the WikiLeaks and other corruption against her, as much as Trump did? We all know the depths she would go to in order to win, would other GOP candidates have gone into the trenches?

Or would someone else have been too politically correct and let her continue to spew venom and lie without really being called on it? We saw that approach fail in 2008 and 2012.

Would another GOP candidate have gone for the jugular with her in debates? Called out the Clinton foundation ignoring the Clinton Rule of Politics "Don’t you dare call us on our obvious dirty laundry?"

Would they have eviscerated her verbally to counteract her Bull? Would they have continued, despite the call from the P.C. Army to “back off” and “don’t say that”. They tried and tried, but he ignored them.

The final synopsis was:

Trump probably is most likely the only one able to beat Hillary, MSM and the left at their game. Like him or not, they were going full Alinsky and he called them on it. Not only did he call them on it, he turned it against them in some cases.

That’s not to say some other candidate wouldn't make a good president, but they probably weren't going to hang it all out to beat her. They may have got into the trench, but would they have the “non-politician” approach and tenacity to do so? Would they have had the same support from the voter base?

Trump probably would have lost to Biden.  I believe that would have been the case. If Biden was the obvious nominee, Trump probably would not have been nominated.

He also is, 5 days before the election, with in the margin of error, despite receiving almost nonexistent GOP Party support (politicians, not voters). He fought an extremely corrupt DNC Machine, with just he, his team, angry voters and a few other Republicans. Some of which provide a rotating door of support to save their own ass, politically.

Basically, Trump was not the nominee we wanted, he is the nominee we needed.

If nothing else, his candidacy brought out the fact that there are 2 sets of laws in this country. One for the political elite, the other for common people! And that needs to change. People need to NOT trust their government, and question them regularly.

5 more day’s folks, and Hilldog's laundry gets smellier...
