Donald Trump will not pursue Hillary Clinton investigaton

This will not go over well with many supporters of President-elect Donald Trump. The only reason some people voted for Trump is because they believed he would prosecute Hillary Clinton.

Or perhaps this is a gambit to ensure Barack Obama doesn't pardon Hillary before leaving office. After all why pardon her for something if it isn't likely that she would have to be held accountable anyway?

On the other hand, once Trump is inaugurated, his AG could be left to pursue whatever he thinks is appropriate with Obama's get out of jail free card safely out of the way.

According to former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, Trump will not follow through on his campaign pledge to pursue an investigation into Hillary Clinton.

"I think when the President-elect, who's also the head of your party, tells you before he's even inaugurated that he doesn't wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone, and content.

"I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don't find her to be honest or trustworthy. But if Donald Trump can help her heal then perhaps that's a good thing," Conway said.
