President Trump's Twitter account disappears briefly

President Trump's Twitter account disappeared from the site briefly on Thursday. After an investigation, Twitter said that the account had been deactivated by a customer support employee on his last day with the company.

"Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review," Twitter said in a statement.

After his account was restored, President Trump immediately responded to the incident.

"My Twitter account was taken down for 11 minutes by a rogue employee. I guess the word must finally be getting out-and having an impact," Trump posted on Twitter.
