Sometimes the things unsaid and undone are every bit as important, or even more important, than things stated.
Obama's last day in office was a classic case in point.
Ask yourself: what did you not hear from Mr Obama on his last day?
Think for a moment.
You did not hear or read of a presidential pardon for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Let that rattle around your wheelhouse.
Two immediate questions come to my mind:
1. Is this Mr Obama's final slap to the Clintons, and
2. Will the issue appear on the radar screen of Jeff Sessions?
Perhaps, amongst other things, this would account for the grim visage of the Clintons?
